Welcome to my game worn hockey jersey collection. The central theme for my collection is jerseys from players who played for the London Knights in the British Ice Hockey Superleague between 1998 and 2003 and the London Racers in the UK's Elite Ice Hockey League between 2003 and 2005. I am quite partial to the number #19 too. There is absolutely no reason for this, it's just one of those things. I also have an OHL jersey from the London Knights in Ontario Canada. I got this jersey because it was #19 and the Ontario club had the same name as my favoured London Knights in the UK.

What this all probably means is that I need to get out more ... but hey-ho, men do like their hobbies and it could have been worse!

Unfortunately the London Knights folded in 2003 as did the British Superleague. In their place came the Elite Ice Hockey League and London's representatives in this league were the London Racers. They themselves folded in 2005 and I'm beginning to wonder if I'm the common link in these disasters!

A final note on autographs ... I know some hardcore collectors hate to see jerseys autographed and believe that this is nothing short of vandalism. I am not one of them. In fact the exact opposite is true. I am not a dealer and I shall not be selling my jerseys. For that reason I do not need them "pristine". My favourite jerseys are the ones that have been recognised by the player and have a personal message scrawled across them. Some of the guys I have met have been delighted by me finding their jersey and I like them to "personalise" and share the find with me. I guess we all have different tastes huh?
